Lukashenko stood up for the unfortunate cows of Auschwitz

On March 27, 2019, the President of Belarus dismissed 3 high-ranking officials after visiting a troubled farm in the Mogilyov region.

A wave of indignation was caused by a visit by the President of Belarus to the Kupalovskaya farm, which took place the day before. The “Old Man” was stunned by the exhausted appearance of the cows and the amount of manure in which both the beast itself and the entire floor of the pen were smeared.

  • “Why did you bring me here?”, Alexander Lukashenko was perplexed. Righteous anger swept the head of state. Without choosing expressions, he called the farm "Auschwitz" and used words in speech that were not typical of the distinguished guest. The president said that the farm should be clean and dry. And if its leadership considers the current situation of livestock to be normal, then it is not in its place.

After the ill-fated excursion to the cows, Lukashenko asked to prepare a list of all those present, and also demanded to initiate a criminal case to the fullest extent of the law. Following the visit, the following people were dismissed: Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Leonid Zayats, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Rusy, Chairman of the Mogilyov Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Domanevsky. Presidential representative in the Mahilyow region Lavrenkov was demoted. The management of the agricultural holding was also replaced.
