The Grade information and reference system has been launched in Ukraine, describing over 10,000 plant varieties recorded in the Plant Variety Register of Ukraine.
This system was created by the staff of the Ukrainian Institute of Plant Variety Expertise and commissioned a month earlier, as told by the Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Olga Trofimtseva as part of her visit to the above-mentioned Institute.

To successfully conduct production in the field of agriculture and, in particular, crop production, scientific and technical expertise of plant varieties is necessary. The crop industry is extremely important scientific work of UIESD, which is to digitize its systems and synchronize data that are contained in national registries with international ones, said Olga Trofimtseva.
