Young farmers in Ukraine can get 40 thousand UAH from the state

Ukraine has a program of state support for agriculture, under which young farmers can receive subsidies for the development of their business.

Help can take advantage of heads of farms that have not yet turned 35 years old. The subsidy is paid once a year in the amount of up to 40 thousand UAH, the deputy minister of agrarian policy Viktor Sheremeta said in a statement.

As the deputy minister explained, the state helps start-up farmers with a subsidy of 3 thousand UAH per hectare, but not more than 60 thousand UAH per farm. The subsidy is valid for 3 years since the establishment of the farm. The funds provided by the state, the farmer has the right to spend on the sowing campaign, spring field work and fuel and lubricants.

The program of cheaper loans for livestock has also included beekeeping, which, according to Viktor Sheremeta, is promising. The state will compensate for bank loans in the amount of 1.5 interest rates of the National Bank of Ukraine, if they are used in industries such as sheep, goat, beekeeping, fish farming, rabbit breeding and sericulture.
