France boosts export performance due to high quality wheat

Due to the high quality of wheat produced, France is guaranteed a high competitiveness in foreign markets in the current season. Such conclusions were made by Izmail Fahmy, regional manager for Middle East Soufflet Group, at the Middle East Grains & Oils Congress conference.

According to Ishmael, the third year in a row the protein content in French wheat reaches 12%, which makes this product incredibly high-quality and attractive to consumers. This is confirmed by real numbers: last year the largest export of French wheat to Algeria was accomplished, and more than 4 million tons of products were shipped.

  • The main areas of influence other than Algeria for France are Morocco, Egypt, Cuba and the countries of West Africa. According to the regional manager, about half of France’s total exports are wheat supplies to these countries, and to some countries of the European Union.

Ishmael Fahmy argues that such a demand in the world market for French wheat is due to its high quality, good transportation and storage facilities, and ease of transportation, given its close geographical location to the importing countries. This allows you to efficiently and quickly ship products and increases competitiveness.
