According to official statistics, in September-January of the current seasonal year, Ukraine exported 60 thousand tons of high-quality sunflower oil, which is 4.2 times more compared to the same period in the 2015-2016 seasonal year, and 2.6 times more than compared with the first five months of the 2014-2015 season (14.2 thousand tons and 23.1 thousand tons, respectively).
Expansion of export geography mainly influenced the growth rate of reporting. Thus, in the current season, Ukraine has demonstrated large deliveries to Italy (14 thousand tons), France (4.2 thousand tons), Iran (2 thousand tons) and Saudi Arabia (1.6 thousand tons), which did not purchase the product in that country. same period over the past two seasons. Only Spain (3.8 thousand tons, against 6.4 thousand tons in the previous year) reduced the volume of purchases of Ukrainian sunflower oil with a high content of oleic acid from traditional large importing countries.
