In January 2017, the specialized sea port and the state enterprise Olbia (formerly the Specialized Sea Port Oktyabrsk, Mykolaiv region) increased cargo handling by 1.9 times compared to the same period last year, up to 554 thousand tons, the GP said Association of Ukrainian seaports from February 10. In addition, during the reporting period, the port did not take bulk cargo. At the same time, bulk shipments amounted to 508 thousand tons (2.5 times more compared with January 2016), including 284 thousand tons of grain (2.6 times more), 29 thousand tons of chemical and mineral fertilizers (a decrease by 47.5%).
