Healthy and tasty cauliflower pie

Recipe for jellied pastry with chicken and mushrooms

Cauliflower is a vegetable with juicy inflorescences delightful in taste, from which you can prepare many tasty and, most importantly, healthy dishes.

The beauty of such fill pies is that, they do not need to knead the dough, then wait until the dough ripens. The filling for the pie can be any, I suggest to try the cauliflower pie. This cake is well suited for breakfast or lunch.

Nutritional value per 100 grams:

  • Calories: 192.7 kcal.
  • Proteins: 6.5 gr.
  • Fat: 12.5 gr.
  • Carbohydrates: 13.7 gr.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g cauliflower;
  • 200 g of chicken fillet (you must first boil it);
  • 150 g of champignons;
  • 1 chicken egg;
  • 200 g of flour;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of cream;
  • 130 g of cheese;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of sour cream;
  • 70 g butter;
  • 3 tbsp. spoons of boiled water;
  • salt and other spices to taste.
  1. Sift flour, mix it with butter, egg and water. Salt to taste. Then knead the dough, roll it into a ball, wrap it in film and put it in the refrigerator for 30 - 35 minutes.
  2. Fry the onions until golden brown, add the mushrooms cut into strips and cook for another 5 minutes. Chicken disassemble the fibers and mix with the cooked mass. Next, the filling should be cooled.
  3. Cauliflower disassembled into inflorescences and boil until half cooked.
  4. Put dough in a baking dish and cover with filling. To pour, mix sour cream, eggs and cream. Then add cheese and spices to taste. Mix everything and pour the cake.
  5. Bake at 180 degrees for 45 minutes. The pie is ready.

What dough to choose?

Puff pastry

For the pie, you only need to defrost it, roll it into an arbitrary shape and lay out the stuffing from mushrooms, onions, chicken and cauliflower.

The second option is a bit more interesting than the first one - you can make a woven puff pastry pie. Puff pastry should be defrosted and rolled out, giving the shape of a rectangle.

  1. Distribute the filling strictly in the middle, leaving a free space above and below - 4-5 cm.
  2. On the left and on the right a little more - 10 cm.
  3. Cut the sides of the dough diagonally into 1–2 cm strips.
  4. We spin a pigtail - we lay out alternately on the filling the dough strips, alternating the right and left.

It will take a little longer to make a specific cake shape. But believe me, your guests will certainly appreciate this dish!

Yeast

This option is slightly different from the previous two, but it has its own secrets.

For the preparation of yeast dough, we need:

  • 40 g. Pressed yeast;
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of granulated sugar;
  • 200 ml. cucumber pickle;
  • 3 cups flour;
  • 3 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil.
  1. Yeast mash with sugar to a liquid state.
  2. Heat the brine and pour it into the yeast mixture.
  3. Add flour to the yeast mass and knead the dough.
  4. Then add the vegetable oil and continue kneading, shift the dough into the mold and spread it over the surface.
  5. Put the cooked stuffing and bake!

How to serve?

It is better to serve cauliflower pie right after cooking, before it has lost its savory taste and seductive aroma.

Drinks are best suited juice or cranberry juice, something fresh and sweet!
